Meeting Sat. Nov 16th G’town’s Natural Resources Report
From Ellen Epstein, Germantown’s representative on the Columbia County ‘s Environemntal Management Council.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about our town. The information can be used to help us update our Comprehensive Plan, or to consider our waterfront development, as well as to support our ongoing land use decisions. We hope that many from the community will attend, especially students and young people. There will be maps on display that day, and the town will have a written report that will be an ongoing reference. This “habitat summary” identifies major natural features in the town and the ecosystems, or natural environments, that are especially significant. These include Hudson River tidal and shoreline habitats, streams, forests, wetlands, and other natural areas with important biological values. If you have questions, contact Ellen Epstein at: 537-5416, or jouretnoir@gtel.net .
I URGE YOU TO COME TO THIS MEETING /SATURDAY NOV 16TH AT 10 AM!
