Germantown Municipal School District students are on spring break Monday, March 15, through Friday, March 19, 2027. Two weeks later they are off again for Good Friday, March 26, and the Monday after Easter, March 29. City offices close on Good Friday. The city had not posted its 2027 spring events by Oct. 17, 2026, so the events below are from March 2026, to show what usually happens; we will update with 2027 dates.

What’s open

  • Parks: open dawn to dusk; the Greenway, the Forgey Park dog park and the fishing lakes are in our parks and trails guide.
  • Bobby Lanier Farm Park, 2660 Cross Country Drive: open to walkers sunrise to sunset. The petting farm opens in April, on Tuesdays, according to the Farm Park page.
  • Germantown Community Library, 1925 Exeter Road: 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
  • Germantown Athletic Club, 1801 Exeter Road: the indoor pool closes Nov. 1, 2026, for an estimated six-month renovation, the club says. The club itself stays open; members’ hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
