Germantown’s Mexican restaurants are spread out. The largest group is near Exeter Road and Merchants Row, close to the Germantown Community Library. Two more are on Germantown Road, at Las Tortugas near Wolf River Boulevard and at Thornwood, and the rest are on West Street, West Farmington Boulevard, Wolf River Boulevard and Forest Hill-Irene Road.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Germantown’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 18, 2026. We added places found in the Tennessee Department of Health’s restaurant inspection records for Germantown addresses and in Thornwood’s shop directory, checked each address against the city limits, and kept only places inspected or listed in 2026. Where a place has no website we could find, its 2026 inspection record confirms it is operating. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Chipotle is the burrito chain’s West Street restaurant, a few doors from Sakura and Asian Eatery. Its location page lists online ordering and delivery.
El Porton Mexican Restaurant is on Merchants Row off Exeter Road. We found no website of its own; a Sept. 21, 2026, state inspection confirms it is operating, with a separate permit for its bar.
Las Tortugas Deli Mexicana is a family-owned restaurant that says it cooks Mexico City-style food and declines requests that would make a dish less traditional. Its menu is built on tortugas, sandwiches on house-baked bread, and tacos with meat or seafood.
Local Lime is in the West Farmington Boulevard center that also holds CitySilo and Crumbl. We found no website for this location; a Sept. 21, 2026, state inspection confirms it is operating.
Los Cabos of Germantown is on Exeter Road. We found no website of its own; a Sept. 10, 2026, state inspection confirms it is operating.
Rio Lobo Cantina on Forest Hill-Irene Road lists tacos, house-made guacamole, margaritas and tequila. It takes online orders and has an online waitlist, and it runs a happy hour from 2 to 5:30 p.m. every day.
Taco Bell is the chain’s Wolf River Boulevard store. Its drive-thru keeps later hours than its dining room.
Uncle Goyo’s Mexican Restaurant is in Thornwood’s Market Row. Thornwood’s directory calls it an authentic Mexican restaurant open for dine-in and carryout.
