We added places found in the Tennessee Department of Health’s restaurant inspection records for Germantown addresses and in Thornwood’s shop directory, checked each address against the city limits, and kept only places inspected or listed in 2026. Where a place has no website we could find, or its location page would not load for us, its 2026 inspection record confirms it is operating. The list is alphabetical. CitySilo Table + Pantry is open from breakfast through dinner six days a week and for Sunday morning and lunch, in the West Farmington Boulevard center with Crumbl.

Congregation Coffee says it was built as a gathering place for families and friends in Germantown. Its kitchen is open 8 a.m. to noon on weekdays, and it books private events.

Dunkin’ is the doughnut and coffee chain’s store at 9077 Poplar Ave., where a May 6, 2026, state inspection confirms it is operating.

Eggs Up Grill is a breakfast and lunch chain. Its Germantown page lists mimosas, a private meeting room, online orders and catering.

First Watch serves breakfast, brunch and lunch. Its Germantown page offers an online waitlist, order-ahead pickup and an outdoor patio.

John’s Java Cafe is on Forest Hill-Irene Road. We found no website of its own; an Aug. 14, 2026, state inspection confirms it is operating.

JoJo’s Espresso in Thornwood’s Market Row serves coffee drinks and pastries, with mobile ordering, according to Thornwood’s directory.

Kat’s Sourdough and Juice Bar is a sourdough bakery and juice bar on Poplar Avenue. We found no website of its own; a May 12, 2026, state inspection confirms it is operating.

Perkins is the family restaurant chain’s Germantown Parkway location; a May 29, 2026, state inspection confirms it is operating.

Rise Southern Biscuits and Righteous Chicken is on the south side of the Shops of Saddle Creek. It says it builds its menu on biscuits made without shortcuts and fried chicken.

Staks Pancake Kitchen is at 7704 Poplar Ave. We could not load a website for it; a May 13, 2026, state inspection confirms it is operating.

Starbucks has two Germantown stores, one at Saddle Creek on Poplar Avenue and one on Germantown Parkway. Both were inspected by the state in 2026.

The Toasted Yolk Cafe calls itself a scratch-kitchen brunch spot. It has a full bar, a patio and an online waitlist, and its menu includes a hashbrown casserole and brisket tacos.

Waffle House on Germantown Road is open around the clock, every day.

West Street Diner serves eggs and omelets all day with hash browns or cheese grits, plus hot cakes, waffles and French toast.
