On the city’s boundary layer, the district runs along Poplar Avenue from about Miller Farms Road east past Exeter Road, north along Germantown Road and Exeter Road past Farmington Boulevard to the Performing Arts Center, and south to the railroad and West Street. All of it is in ZIP code 38138 and inside the city limits.

Its depot, gardens and restaurants are in our Old Germantown guide; this page counts the streets south of the railroad with it.

Together they cover about 270 acres. To check whether an association covers a particular lot, read the deed and the recorded plat at the Shelby County Register of Deeds.
